NOSE · SINUS · ALLERGY

I keep sneezing, my nose is blocked, or sinus symptoms keep returning.

Begin with the symptom pattern. The clinical terminology can come later.

01 · IN YOUR WORDS

“I keep sneezing.” · “My nose stays blocked.” · “I get repeated sinus pressure/discharge.”

02 · WHAT YOUR ENT MAY CALL IT

Nasal allergy / allergic rhinitis · nasal obstruction · sinusitis · rhinology

03 · HOW IT MAY BE ASSESSED

Clinical examination and endoscopic nasal assessment may be used where appropriate. Allergy or imaging evaluation depends on the history and examination.

04 · GO DEEPER WHEN YOU NEED TO

Deeper care can include medical allergy management, endoscopic rhinology and functional nasal/sinus surgery when clinically indicated.

PATIENT GUIDE

Why do I keep sneezing and feeling blocked?

Repeated sneezing and nasal blockage can follow an allergy-type pattern, but the history and nasal examination help distinguish allergic symptoms from structural obstruction or other nasal and sinus problems. Testing or imaging is selected when the clinical picture calls for it.
