CLINICAL DELIVERY

Screening connected with practical care.

The Santosh Advanced ENT Healthcare team provided ENT screening alongside general-physician consultation, haemoglobin testing, medicines, dental check-up and preventive-health counselling. Dr Pramod Jangra provided ENT services as part of Dr Bhushan Kathuria & Team; Dr Ravi provided general-physician consultation. The field team included Mr Dinesh, Mr Vikram and Mr Ritik, with Mr Sarvesh Kumar representing Santosh Cancer Foundation.

Important ENT intervention

An ant was identified inside a child's ear and successfully removed by the ENT team. The de-identified event reinforced a simple safety message: children should not attempt to remove insects or foreign objects themselves and should seek appropriate medical attention.

SCREENING & EDUCATION

Findings became teaching points.

Anaemia screening

128 Hb tests were recorded: 31 mild, 19 moderate and 0 severe anaemia findings. Appropriate consultation, nutritional guidance and follow-up were advised where required.

Hearing health

39 ear-wax findings were recorded. Children were advised not to put chalk, pencils, pens, matchsticks, sticks or other objects inside the ear and to report pain, blockage, reduced hearing, discharge or a foreign body to an adult and healthcare professional.

Preventive health

Mr Sarvesh Kumar conducted child-friendly awareness on hearing health, anaemia, cancer awareness, preventive care and timely medical consultation.

PROFESSIONAL & CULTURAL EXCHANGE

Participation from Uzbekistan

Dr Iquram from Uzbekistan inaugurated the camp with the traditional Deep Prajwalan and participated in medical services during the activity. The visit also provided an opportunity for professional interaction, community engagement and cultural exchange.
